Getting Started

Let’s chat. Together, we’ll come up with a plan for you to get moving! It might include private sessions, our Intro to Reformer One Series, or both. Please fill out our new student form and before you know it, you’ll be on your way to enjoying the incredible benefits of Pilates and our awesome Pike & Plank community. In our initial phone call, we’ll discuss:

  • What are your personal goals?

  • Do you have any previous Pilates experience?

  • What other physical activities do you currently participate in?

  • What injuries (past or present) do you have?

  • What medical conditions (past or present) do you have?

Yes, there are two paths you can go by, but in the long run, there’s still time to change the road you’re on.

Intro to Reformer One Series

  • Learn the ropes in this 4-class, group-prep series. Gather the basic Pilates principles, exercise repertoire and equipment know-how to prepare you for Reformer One classes. This series may be repeated.

  • Our Intro to Reformer One Series is designed to challenge from Day One and is not appropriate for every new student. Those working with injuries or medical conditions that may demand specialized attention should begin with private sessions instead.

  • Please contact us to arrange reservations for an upcoming series.

Private Sessions

  • Private sessions are the time-tested and traditional way to begin Pilates. Often the best launchpad for clients who are dealing with injuries or health concerns, they’re also an incredible way to cross train specific sports-related skills.

We’re here to help you find the right teacher to match your needs. Be sure to let us know in advance about any injuries or medical conditions.

  • This introductory pair of 55-minute private sessions will get you started on the right foot. Your instructor will help you come up with a game plan for next steps – whether that means continuing with private sessions or exploring groups.
